I’m Ph.Dr investigating the method for analyzing the animal tracking data. For modeling the animal movement path, random walk models have been often used in ecology but sometimes too simple for modeling high resolution spatiotemporal tracking data which is recently available. I’m working on expanding the random walk model to a new form that can treat various path patterns of real animal tracking data. With GPS tracking data and this new model, I’m trying to quantify social interaction and navigation ability of seabirds.
